Alastair Wilkinson, a student at Brockenhurst College, has achieved success at the 2013 British Trampoline Championships and picked up a bronze medal. Alastair, an adult inclusive learning student, was awarded his medal by the GMPD (Gymnastics and Movement for People with a Disability), in the category “males with a learning disability”.
The championships were held at the NEC in Birmingham, over an extremely warm weekend in July. In spite of the hot weather, Alastair managed an excellent performance. Speaking of his achievement Alastair said, "I am very happy and proud of being on the Podium at the British Championships this year winning a bronze medal. It was hot up there but I just kept going even in a heat wave. I couldn`t have done it without the help and support of my coaching team and family. I have had a great year and am glad all my hard work has paid off."
Alastair has also previously won a gold medal in South Shields on 1st June taking the Northern Title for 2013. He has been in the GB Development Squad since 2009 and was promoted to the Performance Squad for 2013 .
